Work / Runway

Know every bill is covered before you pay them.

Runway projects your checking balance one paycheck at a time, so payday is a checklist instead of arithmetic.

  • Every bill assigned to the paycheck that covers it
  • Available extra: what can leave today without breaking a later period
  • No bank login, and no server holding your books

Runway is for the person who sits down on payday, pays that paycheck’s bills in one go, and wants to know what is left — not just today, but in March.

Tell it what is in checking, what you take home and when, and which bills have to come out. The forecast lays the next several months out as pay periods: payday, pay amount, bills due, what is left after them, and a running balance down the whole list. Set a floor you never want to go under and Runway warns you about the period that would dip below it.

Available extra is the number most of this is for. It is what can leave the account today without breaking any future period — the honest answer to how much can go at the debt.

There is no bank connection and no account. The books live on the phone. Pair a second phone and the two copy the ledger to each other over your own Wi-Fi, so a household can share the picture without either of you handing it to a server.

iPhone and Android are both in testing now.
