HMB Software is Russell Mathews and Chad King. We build for operators who were stuck with software that wasn't built for them — and for founder-led companies that need senior hands without a big team.
Russell Mathews
Co-founder · Full-stack & ops
Russell is one half of HMB. He’s the person you’ll trade emails with about your project — and the person on the other end of most of the keyboards. He works across the stack, from databases to deploys, and likes building software for people who actually use it.
Outside of HMB, he’s around small-scale food and home production — which is part of why HMB ended up where it did.
Chad King
Co-founder · Full-stack & ops
Chad is the other half of HMB. He builds across the stack and runs ops — the parts of a software company that have to keep working at 2 a.m. He’s the reason our apps deploy cleanly and our backups exist.
He’s the kind of engineer who’d rather fix a thing once and well than three times in a hurry.
Small on purpose.
We design, build, ship, and run software ourselves. No account managers between you and the people writing code.
